Hello Genealogist cousins:
Ralph and I (Carol Tonseth) had fun tromping around the Kingsburg Cemetery this week looking for Gustafson/Gustavson relatives. We live about 40 miles from there and had been meaning to do this all year and after the Swedish Festival and a visit by Linnea and Art we decided we would go look for the relatives there. There are a lot of them there! In fact if you are looking for a cheap place to be buried and with other relatives this is the place to go. Only $500 for burial and $250 for cremation. Its an old small cemetery well taken care of with a wrought iron picked fence around it.
Everyone was very friendly and helpful.
I have attached several pictures of grave markers. I’m missing one but Linnea has a picture of Carl’s marker that she is sending by email. I also have a mystery couple that you may know who they are. Since I don’t would you let me know who Charles and Frida are?. And there are some others buried there that I didn’t know about. I called after visiting and Nancy (office person at the cemetery) gave me three more names. One of them I recognized the other two I didn’t.
If you can clear any of this up it would be appreciated. I’m also going to contact James in Kingsburg who can straighten all this out also (if he is still there since his mother has died) .
Anyway you know how genealogy goes. Lots of mystery!
I’m attaching Millie and her husband, Elsie and her husband, Effie and her husband, and the mystery couple Charles O. Gustafson and Frida Gustafson. Also at the cemetery (I didn’t take pics) are Esther, Andrew, and Emma Gustavson. I’m pretty sure Esther is the sister to Millie and Elsie and Effie who moved to SF and never married.

Hello All,

Art and I found the following relatives at the Kingsburg cemetery last weekend following the 100th anniversary of the Swedish town of Kingsburg. We enjoyed being with cousins Carol & Ralph and their granddaughter Lanie.

We were able to find: Carl F. and Anna C. Gustavson, Ester E. Gustavson, Effie Cordelia Wilson, and baby daughter of Effie; Charlotte C. Wilson.

These files are in PDF format so hope you all can open them.

Our dad (Hector Bouttier) would have been 100 on March 30th so we wanted to remember him in some
special way. Vickii came up with the idea to release balloons in his honor.
Some of us were able to be together to do this in Modesto while Ruth did the same thing in Oregon.
It was really a special thing for all of us. You will see Cindy sitting down in the red outfit as she was able to be a part of it. It was Ralph’s birthday on the 28th of March so we were celetrating that too. The children in the picture are Laine and Jacob Weber (they belong to Denise and Matt Weber), younger boy Noah Case (belongs to Larry and Keri Case). I guess I better identify adults too. You know Ralph and I and Vickii, our daughter and son-in-law Denise and Matt Weber, and our foster son and girlfriend Landy and Kathleen.
Our Cindy is fighting so hard to survive and Vickii is right there for her. They actually spent the day in the emergency room today (Vickii’s birthday) getting a new stent put into her liver.
They need continual prayers for this fight. But we have a mighty God don’t we!
Love
Carol

Each day is a different day for Cindy. Cancer is so hard on the body and the chemo on top of that, but God has made Cindy strong in mind and strong in spirit and she relies on Gods strength to get her through each day. Her first chemo didn’t work so she’s on her second round of chemo. She goes in every other week for 2 full days of treatment . We are praying that this one will cause the bad cells to commit suicide ! Thanks you for all your prayers I feel your prayers in so many ways. My love to all Vickii Yates
